Barcelona are set to face a depleted Dynamo Kyiv side on Wednesday after the Ukrainian club reported 11 COVID-19 cases among its playing and non-playing staff.

"Several players have been tested positive: Heorhii Tsitaishvili, Denys Garmash, Mikkel Duelund, Oleksandr Karavaev, Tudor Baluta, and Mykola Shaparenko," the team said in a statement Sunday. "Assistant coach Emil Caras and four staff members have also got the virus."

Shaparenko, Garmash, and Karavaev have featured in both of Dynamo's matches in the 2020-21 Champions League group stage thus far, while Baluta was introduced late in the 2-2 away draw at Ferencvaros. Youngsters Tsitaishvili and Duelund have collectively played 170 minutes in the Ukrainian Premier League this season.

Barcelona have taken all six points from their opening group-stage fixtures but will be wary of taking a virus-hit club lightly after Real Madrid's struggles this term. Zinedine Zidane's team lost 3-2 at home to Dynamo's Ukrainian rivals, Shakhtar Donetsk, on Oct. 21 despite the visitors detecting 19 COVID-19 cases - 10 first-team players and nine staff members - ahead of the match.
